Artist Note:
Inspired by my Tahltan culture, I made this piece thinking of childhood growing up in my village, Iskut BC. My TsuTsu, Grandma, would invite my father and I over for fry moose meat and rice almost every night. At the table I watch my TsuTsu sit down ready to eat, then get back up to grab a jar of bear grease from the fridge.  I was far too picky to try it for myself, though she did make it sound tasty.
 I live in Terrace now, when I visit my village I can’t wait for the moose meat family dinners for in that moments of sitting at the table with my Grandma, and I see her bring out the bear grease I feel at home.
