Inspired by Carlisle’s recent 3rd grade science project on the life cycle of frogs. I couldn’t help but to notice how much my little boy is growing up to be a froglet. Eventually he’ll be a fully grown frog and thinking of that makes me anxious. I had Carlisle as a young single mom from the start. For the first 3 years of his life I dedicated my time to him. I decided I need to complete my schooling and he was a little trooper waking up early in the morning to catch the bus to go to daycare then start school for himself while I went back to finish Frieda Diesing for the next 4 years. We didn’t have much time together after that other than breakfast and dinner, but I made sure to read a book with him every night and talk about our day before he fell asleep.
